Due to the success of the amateur batting average, we here at Vurb have decided to branch out and apply the same formula to the pros. If you aren't aware of how the batting average works, basically we take the results from each rider, add them up and then divide by the number of motos. So far we've only had four motos but it's already quite interesting to see how the riders of each class stack up against each other. Alessi currently has a pretty good advantage over Dungey who is just ahead of Pourcel, but there are still plenty of motos left and anything could happen.
As the season progresses, we will implement a ‘minimum moto' rule so that someone can't just come in, win one moto and jump to the top of the leaderboard. Unfortunately that means Villopoto and Brown will likely drop out, but at least they made the opening chart.
