Southwest LLQ Race Report

RACE REPORT

With Loretta Lynn Area Qualifiers popping off all over the country, coupled with the end of the best supercross season in the last decade (maybe ever) and the start of the World Championships, it goes without saying that we’ve been quite busy. We’re working on covering as many Area Qualifiers as possible and will also be covering a healthy bit of the Regional qualifers next month as well.

While Vurb was unable to attend the Southwest Area Qualifier at Aztec MX in New Mexico, the kind folks at nolimitracing.com sent us over a brief report with a little video they put together.  Read on for a brief highlight of the event and be sure to check out the image lightbox and video as well.

It was an exciting weekend of racing at Round 1 of the No Limit MX Racing Motocross Championship Series / AMA Loretta Lynn SW Area Qualifier held at the Aztec MX Track in Aztec, NM this past weekend. In only the start of the third year since taking over management of the Aztec MX Track, the No Limit MX track crew has completely rebuilt the Aztec MX Track into what many are calling a national level track. This weekend marked the first ride on the newly redesigned national track.

Qualifying races kicked off Saturday with some heavy hitters in the amateur national ranks in attendance including: Brandon Smith, Johnny Garcia, Jose Ceja, Mikey Witcher, Kyle Guinn, Casey Brennan, Tyler Lindahl, Gabriel Jairala, Terrance Yarborough, Zack Gurley.

Terrence Yarborough took top honors in the 450B class while Zack Gurley took the top spot in 450A. The two riders put in some very impressive laps throughout the weekend. Gabriel Jairala showed most of the 65cc riders the fast way around the track while dominating the 65cc classes respectively.

The next race is an NMA Ponca City Qualifier on April 30th –May 1st. Visit www.nolimitmxracing.com or www.aztecmx.com for more details.
