Supermini Thru 16 and 85/150 Mod 14-16:
Max Anstie withstood the pressure from class rival in the Supermini main and he did the same against Eli Tomac in the 85/150 main. With is a feat not many other riders in the world have managed to accomplish. Anstie has lit the amateur scene on fire since Mini O's and his elegance on and off the track have him listed as a favorite in many fans eyes.
Accolades also go out to Joey Savatgy, Zach Bell and Austin Politelli in the Supermini class and Gannon Audette, David Meade and Levii Hall in the 85/150 class. Each of these riders has a promising future in the sport. Keep up the hard work, it will all pay off in the end.

|
|
|
85/150 Stk 14-16:
Eli Tomac rode well at the World Mini, adding to his long list of championships an 85/150 Stock title, but he struggled a bit more than we have seen in the past. He had some epic battles with Max Anstie and Jessy Nelson throughout the week. But didn't dominate as many thought he might. He is still the number one contender in the Supermini classes, but he's got company.

150 4-Stroke Thru 16, 85 Open and 85 12-13 Stk and Mod:
Jessy Nelson was the most impressive of all the Youth riders last week. He is not in a class of his own, though. Lance Vincint, Gannon Auddette, Eli Tomac, Max Anstie, Austin Politelli, Justin Bogle and many more are able to run his pace, but many of them were unable to do it with the same consistency in Las Vegas. This group of riders are the next generation of our sport, and we are happy to say that the future is looking good. Nelson ended the week with four championships and has proved to be one of the biggest stories in amateur motocross in 2008.

85 Stk Thru 11:
Adam Cianciarulo's 1-1 was no surprise in the 85 Stk Thru 11 class. The kid is a phenom...period. As with most other classes, he's not alone, though. While Taylor Will, Connor Pearson, Zach Commans and Seth Harnishfeger may be a little off the pace now, they all have a long way to go before jumping on big bikes. This is a super talented group of racers that we feel could take the sport to a whole new level.

J r Cycle Mod 9-11 and Jr Cycle Open 6-11:
Carrying a 2nd into both the Jr. Cycle Mod 9-11 and Open 6-11 classes, Stone Edler had his work cut out for him. There was no doubt the pressure was on and Edler handled it like a seasoned pro, taking home two titles. Darian Sanayei also had an exceptional week, but had trouble keeping it on two wheels in the mains. James Gardiner was impressive as well, taking rounding out the podium in both classes.

J r Cycle 6-8 Stk and Mod:
Congratulations to Tanner Stack for taking home two championships from the World Mini. Stack was able to edge out Mod PW 7-8 champion Sean Cantrell in the Jr. Cycle Mod 6-8 class and do the same against Super Pee Wee 6-9 title holder Michael Mosiman in the Jr. Cycle Stk 6-8 class. Congrats to Florida's Chandler Fritzius are also in order. Chandler rode incredible in Vegas and really put his name on the national map as a result.
