WHOA, doggies. Feld Entertainment, promotors of Monster Energy Supercross, announced today that the 2021 schedule will be released Tuesday, October 27.
Look, 2020 has been a strange year, but somehow, someway, we finished off the 2020 Monster Energy Supercross season inside a bubble and then a nine-round Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. Was it the best for fans? No. Was it an amazing accomplishment? Yes. And, consider this: Supercross was the first sport to complete its season. Think about that.
Obviously the 2021 schedule will look a little different. I highly doubt the season will begin in Anaheim—or even visit California for that matter—but I do expect a full 17 round season with some fan capacity. There is no way Feld could do another season without fans. It just doesn’t make sense financially.
Some hot rumors are that we could have three races in different cities. So, for example, a race on Saturday, a race on Tuesday, and another race on Saturday. Again, THOSE ARE RUMORS. We won’t know for sure until next week.
Either way, I’M STOKED TO SEE WHAT NEXT YEAR WILL LOOK LIKE.
