Annnnnnnnnddddddddddd we’re back at the Ranch for the 2020 Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship. While most of the motos are live on RacerTV all week, we know you have jobs and such and can’t watch them all, so we’ll be spotlighting some classes each day throughout the week—Slaw included.
Here’s 6 ½ things we saw from the third day of racing.
1. Vlog Time
Wow! Haiden Deegan absolutely dominated the Mini Sr class this week. One day Slaw hopes to be on his Vlog (f*** you if you’re hating), but for now, I’ll just tell you how much he ruled Loretta’s.
The third, and final, Mini Sr 2 (13-15) kicked off the morning, and Deegan led start to finish, winning the moto by 18+ seconds. He sweep the class with 1-1-1 scores over Krystian Janik.
It was much of the same in Mini Sr 2 (13-16) later in the afternoon, as Deegan once again led start to finish and won the third moto by 18+ seconds (sound familiar?).
He went 1-1-1-1-1-1 on the week to capture both titles. Slaw will eventually be on the Vlog—look for it soon.

The 65cc classes are cray cray.In the second 65cc (10-11) moto, Vincent “My dad is Nick” (Slaw tm) led start to finish to set up a showdown in the third and final moto between he and Seth Dennis. Both have 1-3 finishes through two motos.
Later in the afternoon, Dennis got his revenge in the 65cc (10-11) Limited class. He led the entire way, BEFORE the final lap, when Canyon Richards charged to the lead. It didn’t matter in terms of the championship, as Dennis won the title with 1-1-2 moto scores. Richards finished second overall with 2-2-1 scores.

3. The Guy From Friends
It was a tough start to the week for Matthew “the guy from Friends” (Slaw tm) LeBlanc. (Read about it here. Slaw ain’t typing all that shit.)
Then he ABSLOUTLY REDMMED HIMSELF in the second and third motos. He won the second moto by passing, Luke “I can’t pronounce his name” (Slaw tm) Kalaitzian and did it again in moto 3.
Kalaitzian once again got the holeshot in moto 3, but LeBlanc took the lead on lap 2. Kalaitzian tried to fire back, but lost the front going trying to go the outside of LeBlanc. He crashed again later and finished sixth.
With Kalaitzian down and out, LeBlanc cruised to the moto win and the title.

5. Jett is a Beast
Not to sh** on Nate Thrasher’s win in the second moto, because he won by 12.2 seconds, but c’mon, how do you not talk about Jett Reynolds?
After a huge crash while leading the second 250 B moto on Thursday in the 10 Commandments, Reynolds returned on Friday morning to come from fourth to second. In the process, he keep his title hopes alive, as he heads into the third and final moto with 1-2 scores to Thrasher’s 1-3.
Okay, now let’s talk about Nate. He dominated this moto to keep his title hopes alive. Slaw approves!
