Good news and bad news for Red Bull KTM’s Max Vohland.
Further testing this week did not reveal any broke bones sustained in his crash at the 250SX East Region opener in Minneapolis last Saturday, but an MRI did show that he has a massive hematoma to the right shoulder and a couple of small cracks in his clavicle.
“Apologize for the late update, I wanted to get all information before posting: Good news is nothing broken; MRI shows a massive hematoma to the right shoulder and a couple of small cracks in my clavicle,” he wrote on Instagram. “At therapy working but looks we will miss this weekend. I will be back racing ASAP.”
The Red Bull KTM rider ended up going down in the first turn with multiple riders and he made the decision to get checked out by the medical staff on-site, ending his race before the completion of the first lap.
Vohland missed a majority of his rookie supercross season last year with a dislocated hip.
