After missing the opening round of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross last weekend at Fox Raceway, Joey Savatgy will make his Monster Energy Kawasaki debut this weekend at Hangtown the team announced.
Savatgy, who made his 450 debut with the team, returned as a fill-in for the injured Adam Cianciarulo. AC is expected to miss all of Pro Motocross with a knee injury.
Savatgy started the season with the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC KTM squad but sustained a torn ACL during Supercross and then parted ways with the team after that entire fiasco earlier this year.
He explained on IG earlier this week about missing the opener:
“Another solid week in the books, thanks team 🍺
“To clear the air, when this deal came together we both agreed to not rush into anything until we both felt it was time. I as a racer, obviously feel ready now but, with that being said I’ve been on the bike 10 times total since my acl repair. So thank you to @racekawasaki for being so understanding and keeping me on track.”
