Muc-Off/FXR/ClubMX Yamaha’s Enzo Lopes will make his Lucas Oil Pro Motocross debut this weekend at RedBud, the team announced today.
Long story, short, according to the team, “he had a botched surgery that continually gave him problems with his wrist and arm all through the Supercross season. It was not getting better, so he flew home to Brazil to see a specialist. They identified the root cause of the issues and two more surgeries later he is ready to resume racing. He will be staying with Phil so I am certain he will be getting all the required care he will need.”
Lopes has a breakout campaign in Monster Energy AMA Supercross this season, finishing fifth in the 250SX East Region, which included a season-best fifth at Daytona.
According to the team, more news on Enzo’s contract for next year will be coming out later this week as well.
