Vurb Roundtable is back! That’s right, this classic Vurbmoto feature has returned with some amazing questions and answers from yours truly, Bird Dog and some crappy answers from Troy Dog. Chicago Dog has joined the pack this week as well.
What is the best moto video game ever?
Bird Dog: As much as I would rather play MX vs. ATV Unleashed over any game, it’s hard to go against the OG, Excitebike. Slaw and I almost lost our friendship (and a few teeth) over some rather intense Unleashed battles back in the day, which serves as a painful reminder that blood may not be thicker than video games. To be completely clear, I’m going with Excitebike for the close win.
Slaw: While I’ve already made my feelings about this topic public, I will reiterate it once again: MX vs. ATV Reflex is the best game EVER. It just hits the feels so hard. I honestly can’t even explain what makes it soo, soo good. It just is, man. Bird and I have drawn blood over this game. Nothing can top that.
Troy Dog: I can’t really answer this question effectively because I haven’t played them all. However, I did enjoy playing Reflex back in the day, so that is probably my favorite. I did also enjoy playing Excitebike64 as well as MX Superfly. Those were the days, man. I haven’t played a video game since the game that had Stew’s house, so ya’ll can make fun of me all you want. I’m busy.
Chi Dog: Reflex! This isn’t even a competition.
Best jelly for a PBJ?
Bird Dog: This question is stupid as shit. However, we ate a lot of Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches during our early days of starting Vurb. The answer is grape and it ain’t even close.
Slaw: This has to be a Troy Dog question. But I will answer it anyway. Smucker’s grape jelly. Nothing else should touch your peanut butter. Nothing.
Troy Dog: This question is beautiful. It was my idea. Since Vurbmoto was built off of Easy Mac, cookies, and PBJ, I figured this is the perfect debate. For me, my favorite jelly was always grape, until about a year ago when I think my taste buds blew out and had enough. So, I switched it up to strawberry and that is my current go to. It can’t just be any strawberry though, it has to be Smucker’s all natural. It tastes like grandma canned it up 32 years ago on a summer day and that’s what we like.
Chi Dog: SMUCK IF YOU BUCK! Smucker’s grape jelly FTW.
East vs West, which series has been more entertaining?
Bird Dog: Perhaps a quote from the late, great Notorious B.I.G. is fitting here. I’ll paraphrase here for obvious reasons. If I got to choose a coast, I got to choose the East. I live out there, so don’t go there. But that don’t mean a doggie can rest in the West. See some nice…well, you get the point. As amazing as Jett Lawrence is, he makes things rather boring.
Slaw: Ain’t nothing but an East Coast party! Jett has made the West rather boring. The East on the other hand? Insane late race wins, Thrasher making a name for himself, Hunter hunting, Max’s rebirth, etc. Man, imagine if we had Jo, Seth and the rest of the doggies healthy? Would be an amazing series.
Troy Dog: I’ll go with the East. Despite the best efforts of Cameron McAdoo and RJ Hampshire, trying to stop Jett is nearly impossible these days. I like the battle of Nate Thrasher and Hunter Lawrence that has just ramped up even more this past weekend. I wish that Thrasher had an ACL right now and I’m sure he does too. Daytona is going to be a crazy main event I think and should mix even more up in this series. I can’t wait to watch it unfold.
Chi Dog: It’s the beasts of the East! Better racing, more storylines, overall more intrigue. No offense to the West Coast racing buttttt Jett is doing Jett things.
Will anyone beat Tomac at Daytona?
Bird Dog: Nah, bro. He’s untouchable at Daytona. Just look at the stats.
Slaw: No. Moving along.
Troy Dog: No, Tomac is going for his 17th win at Daytona, or something like that. Tomac and Daytona go together like peanut butter and Smucker’s all natural strawberry jelly that tastes like your grandma canned it up 32 years ago. You can’t beat that combo. Before the season starts, Tomac circles Daytona on his calendar and rubs his hands like Birdman. It’s his race. What a night it would be to pass RC for win number 49!
Chi Dog: Hard to bet against Daytomac! Fingers crossed we get another epic moment from him like riding the back wheel through the rollers like 2015.
