Toyota Redlands BARX Suzuki’s Preston Boespflug crashed during the second 250SX Main Event in Indianapolis on Saturday night and never returned to race the last race of the night.
Boespflug got out of control in the rhythm section before the start straight crossover. He was down for a minute before running off of the track.
He provided an update on his Instagram yesterday. While the dirt rash doesn’t look like too much fun, we’re glad his injuries aren’t worse.
Boespflug currently sits 18th in the 250SX East standings. He was forced to sit out of the Daytona night show after injuring his ankle during daytime practice. He made his return to racing in Birmingham with a “tender ankle”. His best finish of the season was a 13th at the opening round in Detroit.
The good news for the rookie is that he has almost a month to heal up for the next East Region round in Foxborough on April 13th.
