Welcome to Morning Espresso, an awesome piece presented by MotoSport.com. Go check out RDRCO (pronounced “rider-co”) as the company’s exclusive riding gear. This new gear line offers an affordable option for weekend riders and the casual racer.
For the second year in a row WE are teaming up with our buddy Steve Matthes to help him livestream his Yamaha PulpMX LCQ Challenge. The race is happening THIS FRIDAY (May 3rd), so make sure that you tune in. We’ll have the event on our YouTube channel as well as the PulpMX channel as well.
Matthes has added some new variables this year to hopefully create more chaos. Instead of one race we’ve got two 5 minute + 1 lap main events. Then after the first main the field will get inverted and a staggered restart will happen for the second main. Finishing positions will be determined by olympic style scoring.
One of the best parts of this race has been the addition of all of the random awards that fans and industry people have created. You know what I’m talking about, it’s for the biggest air wheelie, and a certain amount for who gets sixth or ninth. Those awards are not determined yet, but we will try to get that list as soon as it becomes finalized.
If everything goes to plan we will go live around 5PM Eastern for a pre-race show. Denny Stephenson will be helping us announce the racing, which is a major addition to the program. If you don’t remember, Denny used to be one of the voices of Supercross back in 2005/2006. He’s an ELITE talent and we’re pleased to have him aboard.
