Things that are so back: Me and Slawdictions. I’ll be honest here, I was way too busy to type up this amazing column every week during Monster Energy Supercross. And, again, for the sake of complete transparency, this might be a one-off column this week. Like Wheatus or something. So enjoy it while you can.

Since I had no picks last week, let’s get straight into round 2 of the Pro Motocross Championship or “Round 19 of the Pro Motocross Championship at Hangtown” as it reads on Peacock. Tomato, tomahto.
Troy Is Dumb, Jett Remains Unbeaten
Of course my first order of business is destroying Troy Boy. He wrote something earlier this week about the streak stopping or something. Shocker, Troy has the worst take so far this summer if he thinks the streak stops this weekend. It’s not going to. That I promise you. Were Chase and Hunter close to Jett at Fox? Sure, they were. Did they pass him? No, no they did not. Last time I checked, that’s what counts in this sport. Wins. And Jett is up to 24-0 to START his career. We see you James and Ricky. Anyway, this weekend won’t be close as Jett runs away to 26-0.
Ty Rights The Tide
What a opportunity for Ty Masterpool. He had all of 12 hours or so to prepare for his debut for Mitch Payton’s team and boy, did the Mitch curse (yes, it’s currently ongoing. Track marker in a boot anyone?) strike early as Ty hit the ground often on Saturday. Throw all that shit away this weekend. Ty is so back, just like Slaw. And we both will be awesome this weekend — my drinking Claws by the pool, Ty racing at Hangtown.
The Other Jett
If you aren’t pumped to see Jett Reynolds ride a clean, healthy race at Fox Raceway, you suck and probably don’t know moto. If I listed all that has happened to the once Team Green phenom, it would be a long list and you wouldn’t read it and you would go back to scrolling the Tok. Jett just needs to build this year. Nothing more. Get through the season, get some laps in, get some gate drops and enjoy the Summer of Slaw, Jett, it’s going to be a great one.
The AMA Goes AMA
Yeah…. they have taken some hits this week for a lot of reasons they control and a lot they don’t (aka flaggers at press day), but hey, the AMA is easy to spell. I strongly disagree with their Vialle/Deegan decision and many, many, many they have made in the past. Yes, they are trying and yes, you will never please anyone, but I have a feeling another controversial decision is coming this weekend.
Deegs Wins Again
I LOVE what this kid brings to the sport. Do I love all of his comments? No. Do I love all of his actions? No. Guess what: THAT’S FINE. What I DO love, is that if it wasn’t for Deegan, we’d have shit all to talk about and discuss and have fun with. You know, dudes being dudes talking about dirtbikes. Deegan brings a flair. An attitude. A love him or hate him persona. And I’m here for all it. Oh, and he wins the overall again this weekend.

I hear what you’re saying about the streak but it is over jett did race last weekend and he lost both motos it’s gonna be 26-2 though unless jett is still hurting but I’ll definitely be watching to see if Eli is back and what that means for the kid
