Each week, Slaw, Troy, Ginger Dog, and Denny Stephenson will come up with some topics and then list the riders most likely to accomplish those feats. Hence the title “Most Likely”. Most would call us brilliant.
Is Chance Hymas most likely to get an overall podium at Thunder Valley?
T-Dog: Yes, the man they used to call Super Chunk has been incredible to start the Pro Motcross Championship. He tied for third at Hangtown, but he’s going to continue to put himself up front. When you do that you eventually get those podiums.
DBO: I am completely blown away with this new Chance Hymas. And I am loving it! I was at Lorettas in 22 and to be brutally honest. I wasn’t impressed in the least with the three factory kids at the time. Chance, RyderD and Hawkins were brutal disappointments I thought. But again. One week shouldn’t necessarily define a career. Hymas is for real. I am excited to see what his ceiling is. I think most definitely we will see multiple podiums for the young factory Honda rider.
Slaw: Hearing a LOT of Hymas hype right now. Apparently he had some issues that are now resolved and we are about to see the real Chance Hymas. If those rumors are to be believed then yes, yes he will.
Is Eli Tomac most likely to tweet from his tractor again?
T-Dog: I HOPE SO! This time I hope he yells at Cade or something awesome. Like, maybe he will somehow uncover Cade’s horrible JS7 whoop take and be all fired up at him. That’s the dream. Hey Cade…people don’t forget.
DBO: I actually messaged with Eli yesterday. That’s all I can say about that. Haha I am sworn to secrecy. Altho I was pretty blown away to see him tweet about the Hangtown track. I personally think we should have our own podcast. The Elito & Dbo Show. Anyone??
Slaw: PLEASE GOD MAKE IT HAPPEN! Unfortunately, Tomac only Tweets like two times every five years, so I think it’s going to be a while.
Is Haiden Deegan most likely to win the overall at Thunder Valley?
T-Dog: Star Racing bikes at altitude plus Deegs riding on another level equals most likely the same success. Yes.
DBO: Definitely. He is physically light years ahead of the rest of the 250 pack. Bring on the Mile High altitude. He is going to make those other kids look silly.
Slaw: Yep, three for three.
When Eli Tomac returns is he most likely to get an overall win before the end of the season?
T-Dog: Yes, I can see him winning the overall at Ironman, especially if the championship is already settled by then.
DBO: No. Sadly I don’t see it. I wish. But he has missed A LOT of time on the bike in the past 13 months. I know he’s looking to come back & simply race. He likes the grind and all that comes with racing a dirt bike brings.
Slaw: Nah. I don’t think he comes back for a while and spotting Chase and Jett and Hunter that much time is too much even for Tomac to overcome.
Which rider is most likely to get the overall 450 class win at Thunder Valley?
T-Dog: Sexton really had some sort of different aura about him at Hangtown didn’t he? I’m going to say that he rides this success into Thunder Valley and gets the job done, but Jett will make that tough for him.
DBO: Chase for sure. Jett was either mentally broken aftet that crash in his interviews. Or someone slipped him a Colorado brownie. You woulda thought someone stabbed him. Hell. I wasn’t even that depressed after. That was a GNARLY 450 crash. You don’t quickly forget that shit. And God help us all if he wears those fucking sunglasses again.
Slaw: I think I’m going Chase. Or Jett. Or Chase. Or Jett. Ok, Chase it is.
Which rider is most likely to get a moto win first, Hunter Lawrence or Aaron Plessinger?
T-Dog: I’ve been saying this since the end of the Supercross season. It will be Hunter.
DBO: I think under some circumstances. Hunter will definitely get a moto win. AP had all his ducks in a row and wilted on the final lap. That will haunt him and stick with him untl he’s in his 50s and racing Loretta Lynn old man classes. Hunter is now officially in the title hunt. Time for him to punt his little bro & Chase into the netherlands and let the World know. Huntah Fuckin Laaaawrence is a 450 MX title contender this summer. Let’s go HFL!
Slaw: Neither.
Are the HEP Suzuki boys most likely to bounce back in the Valley of Thunder?
T-Dog: Yes, WE will be fine. My teammates Shane and Chiz are crafty and we’re going to turn this ship around. What we really need is for our Team Manager Larry to bring back the pool. That’s what we’re missing.
DBO: Honestly. At this point. I would park the truck for the rest of summer. Chiz is battling an undefeated Father Time. And McElrath has mentally checked out. When you’re getting older and you can no longer run top 20. Save the pain and misery. Grab a cold beer and head to the lake with friends.
Slaw: Ooooffff. Tough start to the outdoors for the team. Hoping they can kickstart their summer this weekend. (See what I did there?)
Which rider is most likely to get altitude sickness?
T-Dog: I’ll go with a rider who hasn’t been there before. I don’t want to mention any names, but perhaps a rookie who hasn’t raced that high up before.
DBO: Evan Ferry. Nuf said. Instabanger anyone?
Slaw: Not Jason Anderson. He got it figured out. I’ll go Vialle. Is there much altitude poisoning on the MXGP circuit? I don’t think so.
