Honda HRC’s Chance Hymas took to Instagram to provide an update on his injury following the second 250 moto at the Spring Creek National on Saturday.
After heavy rain and lightening delayed the start of the moto, Hymas appeared to get the holeshot but he started to lose traction as he rounded the corner. Haymas stuck his leg out to catch himself and his foot caught Haiden Deegan’s front wheel and Deegan went down hard.
Deegan would charge all the way back to fourth as Hymas was unable to finish the moto due to an ankle injury.
Hymas said that he hopes to return next weekend at Washougal.
“Rough weekend,” he wrote. “Start was dialed in moto 2 but tried to catch myself from falling and was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Ankle is pretty banged up but going to do what I can to be ready for Washougal.”
