This morning Team Honda HRC’s Jett Lawrence put up an Instagram post showing him back on the bike.
The caption was a smiley face emoji, so it’s officially go time!
Jett has of course been on the mend since after Southwick with a fractured thumb and a torn UCL in his thumb. This is the year of the UCL injury as Eli Tomac, Cooper Webb, and Romaine Febvre have all dealt with the same injury this season.
The biggest question that I have is that it seems like Tomac and Webb had to be off of the bike for a longer period of time. Do we just chalk this up to Jett being younger and able to heal quicker?
Jett currently sits eighth in the 450 Pro Motocross standings after winning four of the first five rounds. He sits fourth in the SMX Playoff standings behind Chase Sexton, his brother Hunter, and his best friend Jason Anderson.
The goal out of the Lawrence camp is to be back in time before the SMX Playoffs start on September 7th at zMax Raceway in North Carolina.
