A new season is upon us, as the 2025 Monster Energy Supercross season kicks off Saturday, Jan 11 at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, CA. Although Silly Season was a tad slow in the 450 Class this off-season there were some notable changes.
With the new season approaching, we outline what the 450 Class will look like in 2025 and where contracts stand as we approach the New Year.
Honda HRC
#1 Jett Lawrence: The defending Monster Energy Supercross champion is back for another season. Jett’s current contract runs through the end of 2025 but expect a long-term deal to be announced.
#96 Hunter Lawrence: Hunter’s contract is technically up at the end of 2024, but he will return. An official contract extension has not been announced by the team.
Phoenix Honda Racing
#14 Dylan Ferrandis: The Frenchman is back for another season with the satellite Honda team.
Fire Power Honda
#12 Shane McElrath: This has not been officially announced, but rumors suggest Shane could land with the team for 2025 Supercross. He won the Australian and FIM World Supercross 250 titles with the team this off-season.
#15 Dean Wilson: Dean has confirmed that he will race at least five rounds of Monster Energy Supercross in 2025.
#17 Joey Savatgy: After parting ways with Triumph, Joey lands a full-time 450 deal.
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna
#27 Malcolm Stewart: Malcolm returns and is on the final year of a two-year deal.
Rockstar Energy GasGas
#51 Justin Barcia: New look for GasGas in 2025. The team has moved in-house (Troy Lee Designs is no longer running the team) and changed to Rockstar title sponsor. Barcia is back for another year and is on the final year of his current contract.
Red Bull KTM
#4 Chase Sexton: The defending Pro Motocross champion returns for the second year of a two-year deal.
#7 Aaron Plessinger: AP is entering his fourth year with the team. He is on a one-year deal for 2025.
Monster Energy/Yamaha Star Racing
#2 Cooper Webb: Webb enters the final year of a two-year deal in 2025.
#3 Eli Tomac: Tomac returns for what will be his final season racing a full-time SuperMotocross schedule.
#28 Christian Craig: Craig returns to the team in a unique role. He will assist with developing the 250 team and also compete in the 450 Class.
#32 Justin Cooper: Cooper re-signed this off-season with the team on a one-year deal.
Monster Energy Kawasaki
#21 Jason Anderson: The long-time Kawasaki rider is entering the final year of his current contract.
#70 Jorge Prado: The multi-time MXGP World Champion comes to the U.S. full-time in 2025 on a multi-year deal with Kawasaki.
HEP Racing Suzuki
#11 Kyle Chisholm: Chizz is back with HEP Suzuki for another year. He is entering his 20th (!!!!) Supercross season.
#45 Colt Nichols: After parting ways with Beta, Nichols signed with Suzuki for 2025.
#94 Ken Roczen: Kenny is back with Suzuki for at least another year.
Liqui Moly Beta Racing
#57 Benny Bloss: Benny is entering year two with the Factory Beta team.
#49 Mitchell Oldenburg: Oldenburg secured a full-time 450 ride with the team this off-season.
Rock River/Gizmo Mods Yamaha
#43 Grant Harlan: Har Dog returns for another year with the Yamaha supported squad.
Partzilla PRMX
#78 Cade Clason: Clason is back for another season.
#86 Mitchell Harrison: Harrison also returns.
