Oh, where to begin with the B Classes. Can you say DEEP FIELD across every one of the B, B Limited and Schoolboy 2 classes? While there are some favorites heading into the race, we are going to be talking about the other 16-19 dudes who can keep this thing interesting heading into the third motos.

For B riders you have the choice of five classes to punch a ticket for: 250 B, 450 B, 250 B Limited, 450 B Limited as well as Schoolboy 2. Per Loretta Lynn’s rules you can’t compete in more than two classes. For the top dogs of the class, this means racing 250 B and Schoolboy 2 leaving the door open in the remainder of the classes for some new names to emerge along with more familiar names to put in their breakout ride.

Reminder: We are not here to say who is going to win, lose or anything like that. Look at this as more of an informational piece on WHO you should keep an eye out for as the week stretches out. Are we going to miss some names? Of course, but that is what Loretta’s week is all about. Breaking onto the scene in whichever respective class that might be in.

While we may be separating this out into The Hitters and The Sleepers, any one of these cats could walk away with the title. Why do I say that? Because all of them have either won or landed on podium at the last handful of Amateur Nationals.

With the disclaimer noted. Let’s dig in!

250 B & 450 B / Schoolboy 2 (12-17) B/C

Get to the fences, hold onto those hot dogs and get ready because the B (Mod) classes will be nothing short of incredible as we roll through the week that is Loretta’s. A batch of fresh talent has made the move into B and have not looked back. Some landing new rides since last year, heck some landing new rides as recent as a 60-90 days ago. There are more hitters and sleepers than not so let’s take a look the contenders for the B classes. Ironically half of the contenders last names also start with B!

What is cool about Schoolboy 2 is that it will combine the B Limited & B (Mod) classes together pitting the best 12-17 year old’s against each other. This is arguably one of the bigger titles to win if you are looking to land a new ride for the 23’ szn. Look at Preston Boespflug for instance. He came in as kid looking to break out in 2021 and did just that landing himself a Team Green Kawi ride. THAT is what this race is all about.

250 B Limited & 450 B Limited

These classes are stacked full of talent top to bottom, shocker I know, but this is one of the fuller B Limited lineups we have seen in a minute. With the B Limited classes this year we will be seeing some of that incredible minicycle talent finally take to the ranch on big bikes and we are expecting nothing short of fireworks as a result. Unfortunately, Krystian Janik’s big bike debut at the Ranch will have to wait until 2023 but that doesn’t mean there aren’t 6-9 other dudes looking to take home some hardware.

We met Jeff sleeping in a tent down the street from Loretta Lynn's... with his computer. At that point, we knew he would fit in with us. Then, he then drank all the white claw flavors none of us liked, and that's when we knew it was meant to be. Jeff officially became part of the crew.
We're terrible at asking questions, so we're not exactly sure what Jeff does for a living, but he loves petting his cats and dog, growing his beard, and living in a cornfield in Michigan. Jeff also likes to wear cycling glasses while driving his car and using his cameras. We like Jeff.
