Team Tedder/Monster Energy/Lucas Oil/KTM Racing’s Benny Bloss will miss the start of the 2022 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship after sustaining an ankle injury in a practice crash recently.
Bloss made the announcement recently on Instagram.
“Not the post I want to be making but unfortunately I had a crash on Tuesday and am going to miss the start of the sx season. Thankfully I was able to get my ankle fixed yesterday and I’m on the road to recovery. Not sure exactly how long I’ll be out but I’m doing everything I can to be back as soon as possible! Big thanks to everyone who’s helped out over the last few days and my team for staying behind me!”
Bloss, who is entering his fourth 450SX season, spent the majority of his pro career with the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-KTM-WPS team before signing with the SmarTop/Bullfrog Spas/MotoConcepts Honda for supercross in 2021.
In 2021, Bloss made 12 main events with his best finish coming at the season finale in Salt Lake City where he finished 13th.
