As I hammered in what I’m quite sure was every Acerbis track marker on planet Earth this afternoon, I was able to take a brief moment to look out over the magnificent event that I am graced with the privilege of attending this weekend. With my eyes burning from sweat and my back aching from exhaustion, I pondered why exactly I was doing all of this. Hell, I’m not even racing; why do I care if the track has 150 or 152 markers on it? At that very moment, not a mili second after this thought, I heard a voice in the distance, “The track looks so sick!” It was a younger rider, maybe between 10 and 13. That’s when it occurred to me - that’s why we’re all here. It wasn’t about my work, or anyone else's for that matter. The fact that one kid thought that the track looked amazing made everything entirely worth it.
The moral of the story is that I worked my ass off putting those track markers up, so any of you that run over one tomorrow, or throughout the weekend, I’m coming to find you. On a real note though, it is my pleasure to present you, in all of its glory, the cream of the crop, the cat’s meow, the dopest dope you’ve ever… rode? It’s the official course of the Silver Dollar Alias MX Vurb Classic Event. If you’re here you better be ready to rip it up tomorrow, and if you’re not you better start packing because one look at this track and you’re gonna be tearing out of that driveway quicker than an A1 gate drop.
This being said, I hope all of you rippas enjoy yourselves and tear that track to shreds this weekend… Just not the track markers!
