Casey Cochran Deserves a Nod After this Move

Crown this dude! After watching Casey Cochran fly off in an airplane after Freestone I don’t care if he never wins another moto. He’s deserving of the crown.

After a successful run through the Texas Spring Nationals where he wrapped up four out of eight titles (results below), Cochran didn’t load up the motorhome and flip open his iPad in preparation for a 17 hour drive. And he definitely did not check a bag on his way to security.

No, instead he decided to out pimp everyone by popping a wheelie down a runway and then flying off in a single engine plane. For those taking notes, this is how it’s done ladies and gentleman.

This Instagram post was the amateur motocross equivalent of an up and coming rapper flying off the roof of a Vegas hotel in a heli. Sure the plane looked more like a crop duster than a private jet, but Cochran is an up and comer, not a supercross champion (yet).

Eli Tomac and Ken Roczen had to split the cost of a private flight earlier this year. LAME! Casey, on the other hand, cruised out of Texas riding shotgun. I bet he did a barrel roll after they hit altitude. I also wonder if he got any frequent flyer miles for this? Did they serve peanuts? Free movies? If not, he should DM Delta. I bet they would end up sponsoring him. He’d be the first GASGAS/Delta rider in history. People would forget all about GEICO.

Anyway, Casey, among many others, showed us once again that the next generation of talent is not to be taken lightly. We can’t wait to see what he flies off in after his first pro win.
