Rockstar Energy GasGas’ newest rider, Casey Cochran, announced on Instagram today that he sustained a leg injury during his first day of bootcamp in Florida this week.
Cochran, who spent his rookie season with the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna team (both GasGas and Husqvarna are owned by PIERER Mobility AG), said he’s already undergone surgery and hopes to be back on the bike “as soon as possible.”
“Little update for you guys! I had a really productive two weeks of testing in California with the Rockstar GASGAS Factory Racing team, but unfortunately, I injured my leg on the first day of bootcamp back here in Florida. Surgery is done, I’m now focused on my recovery and doing everything I can to get back to full strength. I’m determined to be 100 percent and get back on the bike as soon as possible.”
At this time, the extent of the leg injury is not known. We will post updates as we know more.
