Another season of Monster Energy Supercross is coming to a close! How? Why does time go so fast? It seems like just yesterday that we were watching Anaheim 1. Time is a thief.
This season has been absolutely incredible in each division and so many stories have come from all of it. Here we are heading into the season finale at Las Salt Lake City and three (3) champions will be crowned tomorrow night!
Let’s get into how the points leaders can clinch and who still has an outside chance at mathematically winning.
250SX West Region
1.) Levi Kitchen 186 Points
2.) RJ Hampshire 186 Points
3.) Jordon Smith 165 Points
4.) Jo Shimoda 163 Points
This region is going to be electric on Saturday night. It’s going to be a winner take all battle between RJ Hampshire and Levi Kitchen! Whoever finishes better than the other wins the title, it’s that simple.
Jordon Smith is still in this, but for him to win it would be a long shot (although crazier things have happened in this sport). He would need Levi and RJ to finish in 19th or worse if he wins the main event.
Jo Shimoda is still in the hunt as well and his title scenario is even more farfetched. If he wins the race he will need RJ and Levi to finish 21st and 22nd in the Main Event.
250SX East Region
1.) Tom Vialle 158 Points
2.) Haiden Deegan 143 Points
If Haiden Deegan wins the Main Event, he will need Tom Vialle to finish 11th or worse.
450SX
1.) Jett Lawrence 336 Points
2.) Cooper Webb 316 Points
Jett Lawrence needs to finish 17th or better to claim his first Monster Energy Supercross Championship. In doing so, he will become the third rookie in the class to do so.
