Chance Hymas Update Following Unadilla Crash

Team Honda HRC’s Chance Hymas was on an absolute heater yesterday with his speed in practice (top qualifier) and in the first Moto.

Unfortunately his results didn’t show the speed he had with 32-36 finishes on the day for 36th overall.

The results were due to this very scary crash that Hymas had while leading the first Moto. He was pulling away after an incredible pace on the first lap of the race.

It was scary to watch the bike plow him during the crash and then to see the smoking pipe on top of his helmet.

Hymas posted an update on Instagram this morning to say that he was “luckily just bruised and beat up, but blessed to walk away from that one”.

We don’t want to make assumptions on whether or not that Hymas will be on the gate for Budds Creek next weekend. We’ve seen riders put up Instagram posts before saying that they are okay and then before the next race they end up sitting out, so we’ll wait and see on Hymas.

However, if I HAD to guess, and you absolutely want my expert opinion, I’d say that he will line up.

Hymas currently sits 5th in the 250 Pro Motocross standings with one overall win at RedBud.
