Cole Davies to Make Pro Debut with Monster Energy/Yamaha Star Racing in 2025 Supercross

As part of their 250 team announcement, Monster Energy/Yamaha Star Racing confirmed that new signee Cole Davies will turn pro with the team in Monster Energy Supercross. The original plan was for Davies to race Supercross Futures this year, but the 17-year-old will make the leap to the pro class in 2025 instead.

“I’m ready to step it up with the big dogs,” Davies said. “The off-season has been good to me, and I’m feeling confident that I can go ride to my potential and get some good results.”

The New Zealand native made a name for himself earlier this year when he won the opening qualifying round at Anaheim 2 Supercross Futures while still with GasGas. He scored two podiums and secured his second 250SX Futures victory at the championship-deciding round at the Monster Energy AMA Supercross season finale in Salt Lake City, Utah, and was crowned the 2024 Supercross Futures AMA National Champion.

He turned that into a ride with Star Yamaha and made his debut at the RedBud Scouting Moto Combine as part of the Pro Motocross series before racing Loretta Lynn’s with the team.

Later that year, he won the final Moto Scouting Combine at Ironman Raceway and took a commanding 250 World All-Stars victory at the SMX World Championship Finals in Las Vegas.

The team has not announced which 250SX Regional division Davies will contest in 2025.
