Beta and Colt Nichols Mutually Part, Nichols Expected to Make Debut With HEP Suzuki Per Steve Matthes

Some shocking, not so shocking, news has come this afternoon with Colt Nichols and the Beta Factory Team mutually agreeing to part ways.

We haven’t seen Nichols since the end of the Monster Energy Supercross Championship, which isn’t weird because he signed an SX only deal for 2024.

However, Nichols originally had signed a two-year deal with the Beta team, meaning that he had one more year left on his contract.

Beta USA and Colt Nichols have mutually parted ways. Nichols was originally signed through the 2025 season however both parties agreed to go their separate ways.Beta USA will continue to field a two-rider Supercross team for the 2025 season and is currently seeking a replacement rider to join teammate Benny Bloss.
“I appreciate Colt for the time he spent with the Beta USA team and we wish him all the best for his future,” said Carlen Gardner, Team Manager.
“When building a new team, success does not generally come overnight. There are highs and lows. Our team worked extremely hard with Colt however with him being injured, and then coming back mid-season, it was a tough uphill battle. We will continue to push non-stop to develop our team into something special. I wish Colt the best for the future,” said Tim Pilg, Beta USA President.

Nichols went to Instagram for an update:

At first we weren’t really sure what was on the horizon for Nichols, but Pulp Hockey’s Steve Matthes dropped a Matthes bomb todat.

So, I guess we will see Nichols teaming up with Kyle Chisholm, Shane McElrath, and myself starting at Spring Creek and beyond.

We’re sure that we will see a Suzuki press release soon and when we see it, then so will you.
