Back in May in an interview with DMXS Radio, Cooper Webb announced he would miss the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship this summer. In that interview, he also stated he planned on returning to Red Bull KTM in 2023.
“I’m a free agent as of now, but were working everything out and I’ll be with KTM next year,” he said at the time.
We’ll now that is official.
Red Bull KTM announced today that the two-time Monster Energy Supercross Champion has re-signed with the team on a one-year deal that will keep him with the Austrian brand through 2023.
The press release ALSO states that “Webb’s extended contract also includes the option to head outdoors for the AMA Pro Motocross Championship.”
“I am excited to continue my relationship with the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team and I’m really looking forward to going after a third AMA 450 Class Supercross Championship together next season!” said Webb.
2023 will mark the fifth season Webb has spent with the team since coming over from Yamaha.
