Cooper Webb Announces His Return to Pro Motocross

After a thumb surgery that took him out of the opening rounds of the Pro Motocross Championship, we’ve been watching Cooper Webb’s every move.

Don’t believe us? Check out this amazing journalism from June 24th…his first day back riding….

Cooper Webb is back on the bike TODAY!

Like right this second, he’s pounding laps on the turn track at the Farm.

Not only was the picture of the bike exciting, but Coop even put out a video update regarding his next moves as we all await his anticipated return to racing.

You heard the man. He’s going to spin a thousand laps on the turn track to see how the thumb is feeling and then he’s going to see how he feels.

No, he’s not racing Southwick. No, he’s not racing RedBud…but he should.

He is on track for his original plan of coming back to the final rounds of the Pro Motocross Championship. He’s actually a couple of weeks ahead of the original eight week recovery plan he originally announced. We thought he’d be back on the bike after RedBud.

We’ll be back later tonight to keep you up to date on what Coop is having for dinner. Then we will back with more Webb news as soon as we hear about what round that he will be returning to racing.

We were not able to confirm what Coop had for dinner that night, but we’ll make up for it here to tell you that he’s racing Unadilla this weekend.

Webb will be joining a couple of other riders making their return to the Pro Motocross Championship including Ken Roczen and Colt Nichols.

This will mark Webb’s first National in over a year. His last Pro Motocross race was at High Point last season and he finished fifth overall on his Red Bull KTM. Unadilla will mark his MX debut with the Star Racing Yamaha team.

Depsite sitting out the first eight rounds of outdoors, Webb still sits tenth in the 450 SMX Playoff seeding.

Dear AMA,

We will accept our award for this A+ reporting at any time.

Sincerely,

The vurbmoto crew.
