Damn, It Feels Good to Be Back

The title says it all. We’ve officially put boots on the ground, capped our already sunburnt heads with vurbmoto hats, applied 14 layers of 70SPF, and felt the subsequent sweat drip from every orifice of our bodies. As the temperature crested 128 degrees today (not really, please learn how to read sarcasm if you come to this site), the brutality of the heat only made us question one thing: What shirt should we put on next? The answer is always another vurbmoto one.

As I’ve mentioned 326 times now, Millcreek is one of our original battlegrounds. So many good memories. 2011 marked the birth of Mud Dolphin; 2006 when I tumbled down the hill trying to film Malcolm Stewart; and even back to 2001 when I used to set the 14th fastest lap in C class. And it’s now time to keep that legacy going, although I plan on falling down a total of zero flippin’ hills tomorrow.

402 MX came in earlier this week and helped give the Millcreek facility a nice little facelift. Alex McWilliams, son of track owner Allen McWilliams, told me today they took a ton of silt and sand from their pond and laid it in various sections across the track. Needless to say, the changes were apparent as pro motocross style ruts were everywhere. Want to get ready for Loretta’s? I’d say this is the place.

To be honest, I have no idea what tomorrow and Sunday have in store. How many motos are there this weekend? Not a clue. How long are they going to be? Not sure at all. Do the 50s run the same track as the pros? Seriously? Go ask the people at sign up. What I do know is that we’re back, and we’re back in full force. With photographer Josh Miller at the helm of the photo camera, myself behind the video lens, and Will Posey editing at the computer bay (aka the small ass table in the travel trailer we rented) we plan on making some epic Dirtbikes are Dope content this entire weekend… or at least until we’re on the brink of a heat stroke.

The stoke is real here in the vurb camp. Come by and say hello, buy 14 straw hats, maybe a couple t-shirts, and when you sweat through those come grab a few more. We’re happy to be back, and you’ll be seeing our smiling and sweaty faces all around the Summer Classic.

By the way, Josh Miller is really good at photography. Check him out and give him a follow on that IG HERE.

Been 'round these parts making dirtbike movies since '02; a weathered veteran with moto and camera related back issues, the hearing equivalent to my great-great grandfather's, and a dirt tan that will literally never come off. But I'm still in way better shape than every other dog in this joint, but that's because I use Chili and no slaw.
