There was a time when the motocross industry and the skate industry were synonymous. Companies like DC Shoes, Volcolm, etnies and more sponsored athletes, released video parts and were a part of the moto world.
Then, it all went away. Poof.
I think it was around 2016 when DC Shoes dropped their moto program that sponsored everyone from Jeremy McGrath, Ricky Carmichael, Travis Pastrana, Jeff Emig, Trey Canard, Adam Cianciarulo, Malcolm Stewart and many more through its time in the sport.
Those companies, in my opinion, added something to the sport. Our sport being tied in with those iconic brands meant something.
And now, one of them at least, is back.
Ducati is set to launch its first season in the FIM World Motocross Championship this year and DC Shoes has signed a partnership to be the teams main footwear and apparel sponsor.
They announced the partnership on their Instagram:
“We’re excited to announce our partnership with the @ducaticorse Factory MX Team as their main footwear and apparel sponsor for the Motocross World Championship – MXGP 2025. With a deep-rooted legacy in two-wheel motorsports, DC Shoes has long supported some of the biggest names in motocross and freestyle motocross making this partnership a natural alignment of two brands that share a passion for innovation, performance, and pushing boundaries.
Be on the lookout for a co-branded DC Shoes x Ducati collection that will be available when the season begins!”
