Dean Wilson has announced his departure from the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna team in an Instagram post yesterday.
The former 250 Pro Motocross Champion rode for KTM, which owns Husqvarna, from 2015-2016 before joining Rockstar Energy Husqvarna during the 2017 season. He has spent the last six years with the team.
Wilson, who will race the upcoming World Supercross Championship, is expected to ride for Yarrive Konsky Genuine Honda Racing team but a formal announcement has yet to be made.
Wilson has already confirmed that he will only compete in Monster Energy AMA Supercross in 2023.
Below is his full post.
“Well it’s been 8 long years with the @husqvarnamotorcyclesusa x @ktmusa group. I am very grateful for my time with them. We never achieved what we set out to but I tried my best through all the up & downs I had to deal with. Thank you Bobby Hewitt for giving me the first opportunity to get on husky from when I was a privateer for that short time. Thank you Pit, Roger & Robert for having me apart of the team. Thank you Scuba for always having my back & though we didn’t get to spend much time thanks Nate for your time. This whole team has been some of the best years of my life. When one chapter closes another opens📖 Till next time boys! ✌🏼🍻”
Expect an announcement of Christian Craig joining the team to come soon.
