After what seems like a months worth of begging from me on social media and in text messages back and forth, Dean Wilson announced last night on Instagram that he would be racing RedBud.
This comes to a surprise for me because last Tuesday I asked him if he was and he said no and that he wishes he was.
Well, now he is.
After all, what is RedBud without Dean-O?
So, if you guys know me you know I’ll be talking about this for years now. I single handedly got Dean-O to race the best National on the circuit. NOT Slaw Dog, NOT Bird Dog, NOT anybody else…JUST ME! I started bothering him about this not long after Fox Raceway. In fact I started begging him to do the entire Pro Motocross Championship…but I suppose RedBud will do.
This has nothing to do with him needing SMX points either. I laid it on pretty thick that RedBud can’t happen without him and that he didn’t want to catch a case of FOMO.
So, if you were on the fence about going to RedBud, now you have no choice. The people’s champ Dean-O will be there in full force. I bet he can’t wait for those thirty minute Motos.
If I were to come back and race for points, I would choose to race RedBud, absolutely no doubt about that. The fans are the best on the circuit and they will be hyped even more now because of Dean-O!
