Drew Adams to Undergo Surgery on Broken Collarbone

It might be time to believe the Pro Circuit curse is real. I don’t know what Mitch Payton has done to deserve this. One after another.

Kawasaki announced today that Drew Adams will undergo surgery on a broken collarbone sustained in qualifying at round 4 of Monster Energy AMA Supercross in Glendale.

This is just the latest setback for the team which has dealt with injuries to Ty Masterpool and Garrett Marchbanks already in 2025.

Adams, just 16, made his pro debut at Anaheim 2 after the teams two other 250SX West Region riders were injured—Masterpool out with broken fingers and Machbanks who was dealing with a shoulder injury. The rookie finished 8th at Anaheim 2 and qualified sixth in the first qualifying session in Glendale.

“It’s all part of the journey they say,” Adams wrote on Instagram. “I made a small mistake in Q1 and ended up on the ground. Thank you to the Alpinestars medic crew and my team for the support. I’ll get this shoulder fixed and be back as soon as possible.”

The good news for Adams and the team is that the 250SX West Region goes on break until Feb 22 in Arlington, Texas. At this time, the team has not announced when Adams may return to racing.
