Eli Tomac is Back on the Bike Today, Puts Out Timeline for Return

After months of social media silence, the legendary Eli Tomac finally gave us all the update that we were waiting for last night.

The Monster Energy Star Racing rider announced that his first day of riding following his thumb injury will be today.

So, that means that as you read this, the 6-time champ is ripping his dirtbike again and that means thar all is right in the world.

Tomac was originally only supposed to miss the opening rounds of the Pro Motocross Championship after tearing his thumb at the Denver Supercross. In hindsight that maybe was wishful thinking as we’re now past the eighth round of the championship.

As you read, Tomac is “hoping for around Budds Creek” for his first race back, so with three rounds to go you never know. We’re going to keep our eyes out for that press release in the days leading up to the event.

This year has been the year of the thumb injury for the stars of our sport as Tomac, Cooper Webb, Jett Lawrence, and MXGP’s Romain Febvre all have the same injuries in 2024.

Webb will probably be back at Unadilla. He was back teasing people on his social media over the weekend on how he had missed his flight to Washougal because of all the flying issies everyone else had.

Tomac finished fourth in the 2024 Monster Energy Supercross Championship with one win on the season in St. Louis.

He’s back!
