It brought back some memories walking up to the 2010 vurbmoto King of the Classic, Gage Linville, and mounting our GoPro to the top of his head. He’s most certainly 3 feet taller than the last time we saw him, grown quite the amount of facial hair, and picked up the speed a few notches since he was on a 50cc machine holding the staff at Silver Dollar.
This was the final moto of the entire weekend at the 2020 Millcreek MX Summer Classic, and I’m honestly impressed how badass the track still looked. Why did I wait until the final moto to do this? Well, it’s been a long time since I’ve filmed an event solo, and there was a lot going on while fending off a heat stroke running around the infield like a 70 year old who just got a hip replacement.
Between swapping cameras, slinging tees, and drinking a 32:1 mixture of waters and adult beverages, the trusty GoPro took a back seat and it was all the energy I could muster to hobble down to the starting line for this one, but I am sure glad I did.
Schoolboy 2 will be a super badass class at The Ranch, and I’m stoked Gage Linville and Jack Chambers took us a round a few laps and introduced us the next crop of talent in this division.
