Five Reasons You Need to Take Your Kids to a Cycle Ranch Summer Camp

It’s the middle of summer, which means if you’re at home with the kiddos, you guys are probably maxed out by now. You’ve gotten your summer trip out of the way as well as those little day trips. The days are dragging on and on as you’re looking for new fun things to do. The walls are closing in on you as everyone is screaming in boredom! Does this sound like your current predicament? Good, because we have just the thing for you guys to check out: Cycle Ranch Summer Camps! Here are five big reasons why you should sign your child up for one.

Unplug/Get Outside

These video games have got to go…am I right? Like they aren’t even that fun to want to play them for hours and hours. Yet, our kids either want to play those or sit in front of a TV most of the time. Well, you’re not going to do that at Cycle Ranch because they have too much to do. The owner of Cycle Ranch, Iain Grae, is big on connecting with oneself and getting right with nature. That’s why he’s set up Cycle Ranch on the premise that a balanced life based in nature is the way to maintain a healthy relationship with everything. At Cycle Ranch, you’ll be treated to all sorts of outdoor activities and of course riding your dirtbike. If you’re going to play video games at Cycle Ranch, well you’ll have to leave. You’re there for the experiences and being outside in a pristine environment.

More Than Just Riding

Cycle Ranch is more than just a track to ride your dirtbike though. It’s a destination. You can go for a hike, ride the trails, go to the BMX track, or the RC track. You can hit up the cafe for farm fresh food and drinks straight from the grounds. You can hit up the pro shop if you need some parts or gas. You can go hang out with the chickens and sheep, or look at the gardens. You can plan a long term stay or short. Cycle Ranch never really closes and you can make it a trip to remember every single time. It’s all about community and Grae will do whatever it takes to make you feel at home. Just let him know if you need anything.

Small Groups

Each camp is limited to a dozen or so kids, which is a perfect amount for the coaches/trainers to truly make a difference at each camp with each attendee. The Cycle Ranch Camps are very popular and you can go here to register. Each camp is a week long with kids 8-13 years of age. The best part about it is that you can be literally any skill, or have no riding experience at all to attend.

Water Activities

It’s the middle of summer in south Texas, you know the temperatures are going to be hot. Yet, don’t let that discourage you. The camps have adequate riding time, but they also have breaks for training, film sessions, and water games. Grae said that they have all kinds of water activities that keep things light and fun, as well as keeping everyone’s body temperatures safe. The sleeping quarters are nice and cool as they are equipped with air conditioning.

Healthy Structure

Here’s a look at the daily schedule for each week of the camps.

* 8:00 – 9:30 AM: Warm up Activities (yoga, stretching, light cardio/calisthenics) & Healthy Breakfast
* 9:30 – 11:30 AM: Ride & Instruction

The days are jam packed, but at the same time offer plenty of fun and relaxing times as well. It’s a kid’s dream and it beats an entire day of playing Super Mario Odyssey for the 86th time, am I right?

  1. My son attended summer camp at Cycle Ranch and had a blast , I cannot stress how impressed I was with the family friendly atmosphere. From meetthe whole team in morning 1 we were welcomed with great attitudes and smiles which ment alot with a shy son. Everyday he was up ready to go excited to spend anther day at the track with his new Friends and even now when he sees them he’s still excited to ride with them. The most impressive thing is on the last day the ride home he wanted me to sign him up for the next class (which unfortunately was booked).
Will definitely be there next summer for round 2.
Great place, great people, great experience 5 stars all the way

  2. Unforgettable Motocross Summer Camp Experience!

Sending our child to the motocross summer camp at Cycle Ranch was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made! From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. The camp was well-organized, and the staff was not only professional but also incredibly supportive and encouraging.

The instructors were top-notch, providing personalized coaching and ensuring that every child felt comfortable and confident on their bikes. They focused on both safety and fun, teaching essential skills while making sure the kids had an absolute blast.

Our child came home with excitement, eager to share stories about new techniques learned and new friends made. The track in which he trained is perfectly designed for young riders, with just the right mix of challenge and safety.

The camp also offered excellent amenities, including clean facilities, healthy snacks, and plenty of shaded areas for breaks. We were particularly impressed with the emphasis on safety gear and protocols, which gave us peace of mind knowing our child was in good hands.

Overall, the motocross summer camp at Cycle Ranch provided an unforgettable experience that boosted our child’s confidence and skills. We highly recommend this camp to any parents looking for a fun, safe, and enriching summer activity for their kids. We can’t wait to sign up again next year!
