Format for the SuperMotocross World Championship Announced

Further details were announced today regarding the format of the new three round SuperMotocross Championship. 

We will break down in bullet points below:

• The top 20 riders combined in Supercross and Motocross points will AUTOMATICALLY be seeded into the playoffs.
• A rider can also automatically qualify by winning a Supercross main event or Pro Motocross overall. 
• Riders 21-30 in combined SX/MX points will have the potential to earn a spot for the final two gate picks through the LCQ at each playoff round.
• SuperMotocross rounds will be a two moto format with a maximum 26 points at round 1, a maximum of 52 points at round 2 and a maximum of 78 points at round 3.

There are still two TBA venues for the series, but the finale will be held at the LA Coliseum on Oct 14.
