Motocross of Nations team selections are slowly starting to trickle in and we got a big announcement today. France, the defending champions, have named their team for Matterley Basin in the UK October 4-6.
The French will have the same squad as they did a year ago when they dominated on home soil. Romain Febvre will lead the charge in MXGP while Tom Vialle will race MX2. The surprise pick was Maxime Renaux, as he’s been out since the MXGP of Spain in March due to a fractured right foot.
Reports from Europe say that Renaux could be returning to racing as soon as this weekend at the MXGP of Switzerland.
Either way, France, who has won six of the last nine events, will be a force once again this year.
