Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha’s Haiden Deegan is now three for three in overall wins to start the 250 Pro Motocross Championship.

He’s been able to win despite having many mistakes on the track including a few crashes thus far. In the first Moto at Thunder Valley he made his own mistake by crashing, got up, and completely went all out to try and catch Red Bull KTM’s Tom Vialle for the win.

Deegs was clearly sending it and throwing everything he had at the two-time MX2 champion and he was able to make the pass with about a lap to go. It was a gutsy move, but it paid off, Vialle had nowhere to go off but off the track. Vialle would continue to hound him the rest of the way before making his own pass attempt. The Frenchman ran out of room and ended up crashing, but it was a valiant effort and it showed that he’s making progress.

“I got back up and I was like, Tom is not beating me again, that is not happening,” Deegan said in the press conference. “So, I just rode my heart out, got the pass and got the first Moto win. I just Hail Mary’d it. I was like either we’re going to come together and both go down, or I was going to make the pass.

Then Deegan showed respect for HRC Honda’s Chance Hymas’ newfound speed.

“Chance is riding very well, I didn’t have the speed in that second Moto for him, but we ended up getting the overall.” Deegan said.

The man from the TV show, Racer X, AND the man you email your Vurbmoto complaints to, Jason Weigandt asked both Vialle and Deegan if they had any problem with any of the moves that they made on one another. Vialle shook his head no while Deegan held the microphone.

“Nah, I’d do the same thing,” Deegan said.

We’re onto High Point!
