Countdowns are fun. Looking back through decades of footage is also really fun. And reliving moments that were insane is the ultimate fun. That’s why we’ve decided to do another category of goodness entitled “The 5 Most Crazy Moments on a Production.”

For those unaware, we do a lot of production work. Remember shows like Red Bull Moto Spy, Imagination, General Sipes, Straight Rhythm, Road to Loretta’s, or JS7 Insider? If not, there’s plenty more to list from the past two decades, but I reckon you get the point. We’re always out shooting something for someone, whether it be for ourselves or another client.

You can imagine we’ve had some great times, shot some epic moments, and seen some insane shit. This countdown is relatively hard because there are endless memories stacked in my brain that could make this list, and honestly the top 5 could all be from Red Bull Imagination.

But I picked this one for #5 on my list because, looking back, it was a hugely impactful moment. Don’t get me wrong, our jaws dropped when Tyler Bereman busted this out for the first time, and second, and third, but it was a moment that set the precedent and standard for Red Bull Imagination 2020 and beyond. It was a message to think outside – or over, in this case – the box and step out of your comfort zone. While there have been some massively viral moments from the 2021-2023 iterations of this event, this is truly where the uplevel all started and why it sticks out in my head as a something that should be included on my list.

Of course, the entire crew that year – which consisted of Bereman, Colby Raha, Vicki Golden, Ryan Sipes, Cole Seely, Tom Parsons, and Darryn Durham – went on to crush out some equally amazing feats. The half pipe, shark fins, hip jump, moon booter, tree jump, and road gap all played pivotal roles in the progression of moto freeriding at the event. Imagination did take a hiatus in 2024, but we’re hoping to see it back on the map soon…

Been 'round these parts making dirtbike movies since '02; a weathered veteran with moto and camera related back issues, the hearing equivalent to my great-great grandfather's, and a dirt tan that will literally never come off. But I'm still in way better shape than every other dog in this joint, but that's because I use Chili and no slaw.
