Adam Cianciarulo is Telling People His Salary | Let’s Normalize This!

How much do you make in one year at your job?

Would you be okay telling everyone what you make? What if you were a professional athlete? Would that change your mind?

Look, the sport of SuperMotocross is growing and the rider salaries are as well…for the top guys. However, it’s not growing very fast. I’m sorry to tell you this as well, but the sport will never see anything close to what Major League Baseball, National Football League, National Basketball Association players make. We don’t even want to bring up how much F1 drivers make, nor do we want to talk about soccer players.

Those number will make our guys throw up. Yet, the millionaires in this sport, the Tomac, Anderson, Barcia, Lawrence, Lawrence, Deegan, etc are still millionairing…while our thousandaires below them keep thousanding.

One of the sport’s millionaires is trying to normalize announcing what he makes and he wants others to follow in his footsteps. The people’s champ Adam Cianciarulo was on the PulpMX Show with fellow friend of Vurb Chris Betts, and he announced what he makes in a year as a base salary.

A healthy $1.8 million would be feeling pretty nice in my bank account right about now. I can tell you that. I only make about $1.5 here with Vurbmoto, but I can only imagine how much that extra .3 would change my life.

Now that AC has put it all out on the table…and Wil Hahn…and Matthes…and myself…can we normalize this?

Hey Tomac, how much do you make a year? What about you Jett?

I bet a guy like Grant Harlan can really ball out on a really decent one bedroom apartment in Dallas right about now with how much he’s raking in getting 17th each week.

What does Birdman say? “You only look at the price tag if you can’t afford it.” Well, in this sport we’re looking at all the price tags…except Jett…Jett is fine…and Deegs.

Can we start a trend for our athletes to post what they make on Instagram? I think a cool $1.8 million is a good base salary for a guy like Adam Cianciarulo. This is a great look at hoe much one of the top guys in the sport makes (sure injury clauses aren’t included, but still).

Our top guys don’t come anywhere close to Joe Burrow’s $55 million/year contract, but hey we’ll get there when it’s time.

No we won’t.
