Update: Hunter has been cleared for Southwick.
Original post:
Major shakeup in the 250 Class title chase at round 5 at RedBud.
After winning the first moto, Honda HRC’s Hunter Lawrence went down on the start of the second moto and was taken by cart to the Alpinestars Mobile Medical Unit.
On the TV broadcast, Jason Thomas caught up with Honda HRC team manager Lars Lindstrom and he provided a positive update:
“Looks like we avoided major injury,” he said. “Banged up pretty good. Looks like he’s going to be okay. Pretty big hit to right arm and that kind of scared him, but already starting to feel better. He’s had this problem with his ribs pre-season and he may have dinged one of those again.”
Lawrence entered the race perfect on overall wins through four rounds.
Note: This is a developing story. We will continue to update.

Boring when one rider dominates every week, injury evens the playing field, part of the dangerous game we play. Tommy Bell, x racer permanently disabled.

This is motocross, not wwf wrestling. David Best- I think you would be better served as a WWF fan and leave motocross for those of us who love the sport.
