Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Jason Anderson announced on his Instagram that he will race this weekend at round 11 of Monster Energy AMA Supercross in Indianapolis.
“sorry for the delay but we will be ready to rip this next weekend in Indianapolis! A little banged up and a little hit to my ego haha but nothing we can’t fix!,” he wrote.
After working his way into the lead on lap 6 of the 450 main event at round 10 of Monster Energy Supercross in Detroit, Anderson led the following seven laps. But he had pressure from a hard charging Eli Tomac late in the race.
On lap 13, Tomac pushed his way into the lead. But Anderson wasn’t giving up and stayed within striking distance of Tomac.
Later in the race though, Anderson tucked the front end after the finish line. He did remount, but stumbled through the next section of the track and crashed at the end of the rhythm. Anderson did not return to the race, but was able to get up under his own power. He finished 21st.
Following his 21st place finish, Anderson is now tied for second in points with Malcolm Stewart, 42 back of Eli Tomac in the championship with seven rounds remaining.
