Ahead of round 11 of Monster Energy AMA Supercross in Seattle, Monster Energy Kawasaki announced that Jason Anderson would not race due to a family emergency.
On Thursday, the team made the announcement on Instagram that Anderson will miss the remainder of Monster Energy AMA Supercross due to “ongoing health issues.”
The team expects Anderson to return for the AMA Pro Motocross Championship which kicks off May 24 at Fox Raceway.
Below is the team announcement:
“After sitting out Seattle, Jason Anderson has made the decision with the support of his family and Kawasaki to sit out the remainder of the Supercross season to address ongoing health concerns.
“His current plan is to focus on returning to competition for the @promotocross series fully prepared and ready to compete.”
After missing Seattle, Anderson currently sits 7th in 450SX points.
