Well, we finally have official confirmation on Jeremy Martin’s status for this weekend: He will not race round 3 of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross at High Point, Yamaha announced today.
Martin entered the season with a bum shoulder from Monster Energy Supercross, as well as a fractured left scaphoid, an injury he’s been dealing with for months. He appeared to aggravate his wrist injury in a crash at the second moto at round 2 at Thunder Valley.
According to Racer X, Jeremy was going to attempt to race this weekend, but he suffered another crash while trying to prep for the race and broke some fingers. Goodness!
Yamaha said his return will be announced at a “later date”.
Yamaha also announced that rookie Nate Thrasher is also out for this weekend after undergoing a “minor operation”. On what? We’re not sure, but the team said he hopes to return for RedBud.
