Jett Lawrence Is Our Hero

I was browsing YouTube the other day checking out all the latest and greatest moto vids and I came across something that pulled at my heart strings.

Jett and Hunter put on their annual ride day at Dade City at the end of February and it always looks like a great time. Everyone can come out and ride, have a good time, and hang out with the champion brothers.

Well, in one of the 65cc practice sessions a little grom had crashed and Jett was the first person there to make sure they were okay and got their bike out of the track so no other riders could hit it.

Could you imagine being in this situation? You’re just out riding along on your bike, you crash, you’re not feeling to good from it, maybe even crying a bit because you hurt yourself. Then boom, you hear someone checking on you and you look up to see one of your heroes?

I’m trying to put myself in this scenario. I know 7-9 year-old me would have freaked out if Jeff Emig or Jeremy McGrath were there to pick me up off of the ground back in the day.

This clip puts a lot in perspective. We all seem to get caught up in racing too much. I mean, earlier in the season a stadium booed Jett in opening ceremonies for something that didn’t even have to do with them.

At the end of the day we’re all moto brothers and sisters. No matter if you’re a weekend warrior, or a champion racer, at the local track we’re all there for one another. We’ve got a lot of great role models in this sport for the kiddos to look up to at the moment.

Jettson is great person and this was a cool moment. We also hope that the little one in this video is okay!
