Jordon Smith Out for Indianapolis Supercross

Triumph Racing has confirmed that Jordon Smith will miss the 250SX East/West Showdown this weekend in Indianapolis.

At the last West Region round in Arlington, Smith went from leading the first 250SX West Region Triple Crown main event, to suffering a brutal crash in the whoops.

After the race, Smith confirmed he sustained a punctured lung, four broken ribs and a small laceration in his spleen in the crash.

“I’m really bummed to not be lining up for Indy SX this weekend,” Smith said. “This is the first Supercross l’ve missed in four years and that’s a huge bummer. I’ve done everything I can in my power to be ready since my crash in Arlington, but unfortunately we are going to have to focus on getting back, which will hopefully be by Seattle.”

Following Indianapolis this weekend, the next West Region round is March 29 in Seattle.
