Kevin Moranz Racing is THE place to be these days. Did you see the rig during the Supercross season? Then he went out and signed Justin Starling to be his teammate for next season. Moranz seems to be a money machine here as of lately and a BIG tine team owner.
Moranz is racing and Starling is rumored to be racing at RedBud this weekend for Round 6 of the Pro Motocross Championship.
This would be Starling’s debut ride with KMR and his return to an Austrian bike (KTM) after a Supercross season that we don’t really want to talk about. This will be Moranz’s first National of the season.
I’m excited for this partnership as both Moranz and Starling both put up with my shenanigans at the races. Starling invites it, actually.
Also, this works out great for me because, well have you ever been in the pits and needed a snack or a drink and have nothing on you? Well, that happens to me quite often.
Fun fact: Most of these semi trucks are actually filled to the brim with snacks on snacks on snacks. So, I just go to to the ones that have the best ones. The HEP Suzuki truck actually has the most, or maybe I just know all the secret hiding spots (the second drawer on the left under the coffee maker is the spot).
I’m getting off track here. Moranz’s truck is sponsored by Champion Storage, which is incredible because Moranz is super organized now. That means that he’s got ample amounts of storage to store my snacks at the races.
The good news for me is that it’s going to be a treasure trove of all the good things that I enjoy eating at the races. I put my order in WEEKS ago for RedBud, so I’ll be back with a full report next week on how Moranz’s Costco trip went.
Also, Moranz did tell me that both Starling and he were pitting out of their vans at RedBud, so if you are actually going to the race then don’t look for the Champion Storage rig. Look for their vans that I’m sure are completely decked out in Champion Storage compartments for my freaking snacks.
I love how this post completely went off the rails here.
Moranz raced four Nationals last season with his best finish being 21st at Spring Creek. For Starling, he hasn’t raced outdoors since the Florida National in 2019 where he finished 37th overall in the 450 class. Before that you’d have to go back to 2016 to find another outdoor result. Don’t let that fool you, Star Dog LOVES the outdoors and he’s got this all day long…I think.
Let’s get those SMX Playoff points!
