Latest Updates Reveal More About Haiden Deegan’s Arrest

As was reported on Saturday, current Monster Energy AMA Supercross 250SX West Division points leader Haiden Deegan was arrested in Florida on Friday night and charged with racing//stunt driving, and released on $1000 bail.

On Sunday, details have started to emerge as to what exactly happened.

Per the NWF Daily News, according to an arrest report from the Walton Country Sheriff’s office, Deegan was allegedly performing donuts in a sports car at the Walton Sports Complex parking lot.

More from the report:

“According to the arrest report, law enforcement officers saw a gray Audi R8 with illuminated brake lights release its brakes and accelerate west before executing a full rotation in the lane leading to the pickleball courts. The deputy activated his patrol vehicle’s emergency lights and siren, at which point the driver allegedly completed another rotation before parking.

“Another deputy, off duty at the time, also witnessed the incident and detained the driver, Haiden Deegan. While in the patrol vehicle, Deegan allegedly said, “We were all drifting,” according to the report.”

Per the DailyMail, “the arresting officer also confiscated fake driver’s licenses, including one that had a false birth year indicating that he was 21, according to his arrest report.”

‘It should be noted the Deputy expressed to me that Haiden was respectful during the entire encounter. That is part of the reason he was not charged with having the fake IDs – which is a felony in Florida,’ Public Information Officer Corey Dobridnia told Dailymail.com.

Deegan is scheduled to race on March 29 when the 250SX West Division returns in Seattle.

  1. Who is investigating the Officer that chose not to cite for the felony of having fake ID. Non rich, not famous individuals have been cited for the same thing and convicted (even though they were polite)
Laws should be enforced equally, regardless of wealth , fame, race, or gender, the law is the law, unless you are a spoiled rich brat.

  2. He should be arrested for fake id’s whose officers supervisor this is so wrong. Because he’s famous. Any other person would of got felony charge and now haiden thinks big joke going to make money off it. So wrong.

  3. I want to see court arrest him for fake id’s that BS that cop didn’t get him on fake id’s. Anyone else would of got felony for the fake id’s. Thats what’s wrong with our system.

  4. haters ! you would want you friend to be able to negotiate life without a felony for having a fake id . generally speaking the charge is reserved for one caught using a fake ID for purposes of identification to subvert the law .

  5. Had he been caught using the fake ID he would have been charged for it. So who here hasn’t been respectful and nice to a police officer during a traffic stop hoping for a warning and not a ticket? So he got in trouble for driving fast. Big deal. Stop the hate. Didn’t we all get a ticket or 2 growing up and learn not to drive that way?

  6. If I had an Audi R8 I’d probably be doing some donuts. A fake ID. That’s a great idea, I need to get one so I can race in the +70 class, it might give me a better chance at a race win.

  7. No, we did not all get a ticket growing up and learn that way. I had parents that made me buy my truck with my money. Then, they informed me that if I got a ticket for speeding, they would take it away. This is not acceptable behavior, I am certain Yamaha will not see the humor.

  8. I’ve had a fake I’d taken from me that I used to go clubbing with on sunset strip . Cops were ok if you didn’t act like a complete ass. Hell, I lost count of the amount of beer and the mass cabbage I’ve had to dump out or stomp into the dirt after getting caught.
Maybe deegs ran into a 70s style cop. Maybe he didn’t act like an ass.
People should be stoked he didn’t get a felony charge. People should be questioning why fake ID would be a felony charge anyway.

  9. We all make mistakes! That’s part of growing up. Some of you must not watch utube. Lots of younger people get caught with fake I’D and do not get arrested. Haiden made a mistake he will learn from this and do better. You get more respect when you are respectful, more with sugar than with vinegar! Just saying Haiden apologised!

  10. Why do you people get hell bent to have him get a felony when he was being safe about it the way it sounds and he had that id so he could stay out after curfew most likely, chill out on the kid he’s a great kid leave him alone!
