The Chef, Levi Kitchen had a rough outing in the second moto of the Ironman finale.
After finishing second in the first moto, Kitchen went into the second moto looking for the win and hoping to finish out the season with his third straight overall win.
However that would not be the case as he crashed twice and he ended up hurting his knee in the process. The TV broadcast showed him limping as he remounted his bike.
He would pull off resulting in 2-35 scores on the day for 11th overall.
The good news is that Kitchen announced on Instagram today that he “will be all good for SMX”.
Kitchen will have two weeks to recover and get back up to speed before the first SMX Playoff round at zMax Raceway in Concord, North Carolina on September 7th.
The Chef is going into the SMX Playoffs in the #2 seed behind Haiden Deegan.
