Want a feel good story from the weekend? Well we have one for you.
It’s been a tough season for Josh Osby. He did not qualify for the first three 250SX East Region main events. Then, prior to round 4 in Detroit, Phoenix Honda Racing announced that it had parted ways with Osby.
In stepped fellow racer Marshal Weltin.
Weltin let Osby borrow his practice for his hometown race in Indianapolis this Saturday and hot dang, Osby made his first main of the year and finished 21st.
“Man, what a weekend! I was left in an unfortunate situation last week and @marshalweltin stepped up HUGE letting me ride his practice bike this weekend. All we changed were the bars and we went racing 😂. Everything was SO last minute but we pulled it off! Qualified P9 OA. Tough go in the main but damn was i happy to be out there racing. Not sure what’s next for me but i will update everyone as i know more!”
As for Weltin, he finished a personal best 13th in the main!
“Indy ✅ P13, which is my personal best 250 main event finish! Really struggled all day in qualifying.. track was super challenging. Proud of my buddy @josh_osby !!He had an unfortunate situation with previous team and was left empty handed coming into his home race. Last week he rode my 2nd bike for half a day showed up and put it in the main! Was pretty cool opportunity for me and all my sponsors to have two bikes in the main event. Also big thanks to @bidus196 for the weekend 🤝🤝 #MTTG“
Dang, this sport is pretty awesome sometimes.
